Writing #2: This assignment is your further exploration of your topic and is designed to focus and develop your initial response through a review of existing criticism of your focus text.

What should it include?
A clarified, synthesized idea of your focus on your text at this point, given my feedback, your peers’ feedback and your further thought on your text.
A comment on the process of researching.
A summary of each of your four informational texts that you have read closely, annotated, and understood well. These should be complete but concise.
A refinement of your thinking about your focus text, especially in light of the informational texts. Consider any or all of the following questions:
Which pieces were most interesting or helpful to you?
A Works Cited page.
What form should it take?
Roughly 750-1000 words typed, double-spaced.
