1. Review the requirements for your persuasive research paper--they are located under "Guiding Documents," on your Junior Research Libguide.
2. Login into your SCHOOL Google account, firstname.lastnameXX@k12.leanderisd.org password is the password you use to login to the network. XX stand for the last two of student ID.
3. Select the "Library Databases," tab and look to the left-hand side. There are 3 library databases geared toward Pro/Con issues, use SIRS Knowledge Source or Opposing Viewpoints in Context (Gale) to help narrow down your topic.
4. Login into your NoodleTools account (login should be your school email address) (password is not needed if logged into your google drive if you need help see Ms. Hyden IMMEDIATELY) and create a project. Your project should be in MLA format and at the advanced level. Both are defaults. Name your project.
5. Using the Dashboard in NoodleTools share project with your teacher. Ex. Driver 1st Period. If you do not share you will not get grades!

1. Select the Noodletools & Citations tab and watch the tutorial on deconstructing citations. Remember to ask questions if you need help creating an entry.
2. Click on Notecard Sample must be signed into Google drive (or go to your Google Drive and look under "Shared with Me,") you will see a screenshot of a notecard sample and review the information. All 3 sections of the notecard (Direct Quote, Paraphrase Summary, and My ideas), card must be complete to receive credit for one notecard. Please review the criteria on your assignment sheet.
3. Look at the tab called Evaluating a Website, review the criteria. Remember that you MUST complete the C.R.A.P. checklist on the right hand side of the page for website sources.
4. By the end of today you should have 2 sources and 2 notecards complete.
